Best Beaches in Australia

Australia is known as one of the top travel destinations in the world. With the many attractions and things to do in Australia its not surprising this place has a variety of world-class beaches too. With a coastline of more than 22,000 miles, you will find an almost endless selection of beaches to choose from. Whether you’re looking to relax, or play, you will find what you want in Australia; here are a few beaches there.

 Cable Beach

 If you want to visit a beach away from major population areas, try Cable Beach. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. With its blue turquoise waters and twenty-two kilometers of white sands, this is a great place for the beach-lover.




 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Whitehaven Beach

Located on Whitsunday Island is Whitehaven beach. This island is located in the Whitsundays group, which is located off the northeastern coastline of Australia. Also, the Whitsunday group is considered one of the best islands in the world and is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. The beach is four miles long with white sand; to access Whitehaven beach requires a ferry ride or flight to get there.

Bondi Beach

Bondi is a popular beach near Sydney and is the place to go for sunbathers and surfers. Bondi beach is located a few minutes from Sydney and is a destination with lots of activities. The sand is soft and the beach is one kilometer long.

Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is located in southeast Queensland and is a great destination to visit. Once you are there, you will see it is really a collection of twenty-two beaches. When visiting the Gold Coast you will find shopping, golf courses, theme-parks and wildlife sanctuaries. If you are into surfing, the Gold Coast is home to the world-famous surfer destinations of Main Beach & Surfer’s Paradise. If you are more interested in family friendly beaches, Broad Beach and Nobby Beach are in the area.


Hyams Beach

If you want to experience Australia’s wild-side, consider a trip to Hyams Beach. This beach is located two and half hours south of Sydney. Visitors will enjoy fishing, swimming and surfing. As is the case with other Australian beaches, the sand is white and is visually stunning. If you are interested in dolphins & whales, both have been spotted off-shore.
